Role Summary
The GTM Engineer is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of Sales Operations, Data Engineering, and Marketing Automation. They will be responsible for building the "outbound engine" that powers our deal origination. You won't just be using tools; you will be building the systems that scrape data, automate outreach, and optimize our funnel to ensure DAC is the first firm to see every high-quality deal in our target industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain automated systems for identifying and capturing lead data across Industrials, Healthcare, and IT sectors.
- Stack Optimization: Architect and manage our GTM tech stack (CRM, LinkedIn Automation, Email Deliverability tools, and Data Enrichment APIs).
- Workflow Automation: Build "low-code" or "no-code" scripts to sync data between sourcing tools and our internal deal tracking databases.
- Data Enrichment: Implement processes to automatically verify and enrich lead data (e.g., revenue estimates, ownership structures, and contact info).
- Deliverability Management: Ensure 100% technical health for outreach domains, managing SPF/DKIM/DMARC records and email warming protocols.
- Analytics & Attribution: Create dashboards that track the efficiency of our origination efforts, from initial "ping" to signed LOI.
- A/B Testing Systems: Build frameworks for testing outreach copy, timing, and channel effectiveness at scale.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Marketing Ops, or Growth Engineering.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Zapier, Make.com) and CRM management (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Salesforce).
- Strong scripting skills (Python or JavaScript) for data scraping and API integrations.
- Deep understanding of the modern outbound stack (Apollo, Clay, Instantly, or similar).
Preferred
- Experience in the financial services or private equity sector.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and data extraction techniques.
- A background in "Growth Hacking" or technical lead generation for high-ticket B2B services.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Creativity: Ability to find "backdoor" ways to find and reach decision-makers at target firms.
- Funnel Intuition: A deep understanding of how technical bottlenecks (like poor data quality) directly impact deal flow.
- Speed-to-Market: Ability to build and ship an automation sequence in hours, not weeks.
- Data Integrity: A disciplined approach to database hygiene and deduplication.

Dark Alpha Capital LLC offers a hybrid compensation structure combining milestone-based payments with performance-driven upside. Compensation is tied to the successful delivery of agreed system implementation milestones (e.g., CRM buildout, integrations, automations, dashboards, and data infrastructure). In addition, the Engineer is eligible to earn a 2.5% Success Fee on cash compensation received by the Company from qualified, system-generated introductions that are properly tracked and attributed within the CRM. A “Qualified Introduction” refers to contacts sourced or reactivated through systems built by the Engineer that result in measurable business outcomes (e.g., meetings, diligence, or executed engagements). Success Fees are calculated quarterly and typically paid within 15 business days following quarter-end, contingent on receipt of fees by the Company. Compensation is strictly tied to technology and system performance, with no involvement in securities activities.
