Role Summary
The VP of Capital Raising is responsible for the end-to-end execution of fundraising efforts for transactions within the $10M–$100M range. This role requires a high-level "hunter" mentality combined with the technical fluency to articulate complex LBO structures to institutional investors, family offices, and HNWIs. You will own the investor lifecycle, from initial market mapping and digital roadshows to the "soft circling" of capital commitments following term sheet acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Raising Initiatives: Lead and execute equity and debt raising efforts for LBO transactions; secure investment commitments from a diverse pool of funding sources.
- Investor Relations: Manage, enhance, and expand the firm’s existing investor database; identify and cultivate new relationships aligned with our investment strategies.
- Digital Roadshows: Organize and conduct virtual roadshows to present live investment opportunities; develop compelling, institutional-grade pitch materials and deal teasers.
- Soft Circling: Facilitate the soft circling of funds immediately following term sheet acceptance to secure preliminary commitments and ensure transaction certainty.
- Market Strategy: Provide strategic input on deal structures and financing options based on real-time investor feedback and broader M&A market trends.
- Database Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize investor data management within the CRM; implement analytics best practices to enhance fundraising velocity and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the investment and deal teams to ensure deal specifics are communicated effectively to the market.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in capital raising, investment banking, private equity, or related financial services.
- Proven track record of securing capital for transactions within the $10M–$100M EV range.
- Deep understanding of leveraged buyouts (LBOs) and financial structuring.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and investor database management tools.
Preferred
- MBA or relevant advanced degree.
- An established, active network of institutional and family office investor relationships.
- Experience in a fast-paced, independent sponsor environment.

Compensation
Structure: 100% success-fee based.
Terms: Payable only upon successful transaction close; no base salary or retainer.
Dark Alpha Capital LLC offers a performance-based compensation structure aligned with investment outcomes. Compensation for this role follows a success fee–based model tied to the Associate’s participation in investment opportunities and contributions to deal sourcing, analysis, and execution. Additional performance-based compensation may be awarded when a signed debt or equity commitment is successfully obtained in connection with a transaction supported by the Associate. The role may also include flexible work arrangements, hands-on exposure to private equity transactions, mentorship from experienced investment professionals, and potential long-term career growth opportunities within the firm.
