About Dr. Enrique de la Garza

Dr. Enrique de la Garza is an accomplished healthcare executive and physician with over 30 years of leadership experience. He has served as CEO, COO, and President for major health plans and hospitals, overseeing operations, networks, and strategic growth initiatives. 

As CEO of Molina Healthcare of Florida, de la Garza led the successful licensure and launch of the new health plan in the state. At AmeriChoice in Wisconsin, he turned around a struggling 80, 000 member Medicaid plan, driving it from $500K loss to $11M profit in 9 months.  

De la Garza has particular expertise in Medicaid and Medicare programs, leading expansions, turnarounds, and new market entries for plans nationwide. He is bilingual Spanish-English and has implemented culturally competent programs targeting Hispanic populations. 

Earlier in his career, he served as a hospital CEO and EVP for a 120-bed acute care facility and integrated delivery network in Los Angeles. 

De la Garza holds an MD from Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juárez and a BS in Environmental Health from Cal State northridge. He brings over three decades of health plan leadership and physician experience.
