About Luke Miller

Luke Miller is the Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff at Dark Alpha Capital, where he oversees the execution of the firm’s strategic initiatives across deal flow management, internal integrations, and daily operations. He plays a central role in coordinating transaction processes and internal workflows, ensuring that the firm maintains an efficient and disciplined approach to evaluating and executing investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Dark Alpha Capital, Luke spent nearly a decade leading commercial teams within private equity–backed platform companies, where he helped drive operational growth and contributed to multiple successful exits. His experience spans M&A activity, systems integration, organizational transformation, and operational leadership, enabling him to support investment teams and portfolio companies through periods of rapid scaling and change.

In addition to his role at the firm, Luke is the Founder and Principal of First Step Advisory Group, a consulting firm that provides direct operational and strategic support to private equity firms and their portfolio companies. His work across multiple platforms and industries has given him a strong understanding of how operational strategy, integration planning, and execution discipline contribute to successful private equity outcomes.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University. Outside of his professional work, he is actively involved in community and charitable initiatives, particularly organizations focused on supporting addiction recovery and substance abuse programs in Nashville.
