About Monika
Monika is a Business Development Representative at Dark Alpha Capital, an investment firm focused on acquiring private companies across the lower middle market having $1,000,000 plus of EBITDA. Monika’s responsibilities include deals sourcing and analyzing potential investment opportunities
Prior to joining Dark Alpha, Monika started at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP as a Corporate Tax associate for public companies. She later transferred to PwC’s Private practice, working under the Family Enterprise Advisory Services group. In this group, she worked with US family offices, focusing on improving efficiency through profits-interest structure modeling and technology vendor selections for investment accounting platforms. Additionally, she was a part of PwC’s managed service, and assisted with all aspects of monthly portfolio performance reporting for complex family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals.
For the past decade, Monika has played a key role in growing and developing her family’s construction business, based in Raleigh, NC. She received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and graduated from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with a Master of Accounting, concentrated in Tax.
